About

Dr Gorgee Dyer is a General Practitioner and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) since 2022.

Gorgee migrated to Australia from India at the age of 18 and pursed her childhood dream of becoming a doctor after having completed a degree in Biomedical Science and a Diploma in Secondary School Education at The University of Melbourne. Her time teaching in secondary schools informs her medical practice, particularly when it comes to adolescent patients.

Gorgee graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2011 completing her MBBS. She then under took various rotations at The Northern Hospital, Western Health (Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals) and Bendigo Health before deciding on General Practice as a career choice for its breadth and variety of practice and the potential for long-term relationships with patients.

She has undertaken further training in her areas of interest by completing a Diploma in Obstetrics, The Sydney Child Health Program and a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine. Her latest interest is Medical Education and she is a supervisor for General Practice registrars/trainees through the RACGP.

Gorgee has a holistic approach, is very relatable, and enjoys all aspects of General Practice. She involves specialist medical colleagues when needed and works alongside them to deliver the best care possible for her patients.

Her current interests are:

·       Paediatrics

·       Adolescent Health

·       Women’s Heath including menopause management

·       Preventative Health and Lifestyle Medicine

·       Iron infusions

Outside of medicine she enjoys growing vegetables, camping, spending time with her family and driving her two kids to extra-curricular activities. She is always working on exercising more and following her own advice to patients!
